Re: Does anybody have any advice for the Milford Haven area?
Nigel & Jill I have no real experience of that area, but maybe a Facebook post on the SOA may be worth a response ? I did pick my second Southerly up from Lawrenny Marina in 2003 and having just checked the website, it looks a very pleasent spot. http://www.lawrennyyachtstation.co.uk/ I am not s...

Re: Thames Estuary
Tony Start saving for St. Katherine's Dock :-). Still good value though given the location. Also worth considering Limehouse (where the CA HQ is). It is a simple DLR ride into the fleshpots of London. On the North of the Thames Estuary to the East ................Southend. Nowt there for a long term...

Re: S115 (2004) onwards Interior modifacations
Marie I have a 2004 S115 (Mark IV) which has been owned since 2007 and consider it the best looking Southerly in all the fleets (well I would :-)). It sails really well (I am often single handed) and can be parked on a 10m pontoon berth. If there is a drawback, it is that it does not have the ample ...

Re: Rudder
Roy This sounds like a job for a local fabricator. It is 20 years since I had a S95/ From memory the rudder shaft is a single rod which fits the top and bottom pintles. It can be bent in an incident, I recall from something that happened many years ago :-) It may be worth checking with Northshore as...

Re: Brexit: Possible VAT issue
Richard Thanks for posting this. There is certainly a "Brexit VAT issue" brewing. There is much on the CA & RYA websites about this, and many of have made representations to our MPs regarding the problems of bringing VAT paid boats back from an EU27 country after 31 December 2021. That...
